On 18 and 19 September 2006 a two-day Kick-off Meeting started the work on the CESAR project. CESAR is European RTD (Research and Technological Development) project  focused on interests of the aviation industry concerning small regional aircraft for 5 to 15 passengers. The three-year project has a budget of Euro 34 million, and is partly supported by the European Commission.  The meeting was held in the Congress Centre in Prague. More than 100 participants representing 39 firms, from 14 European countries took part.
